Who is Tiger Woods?
His real name was Eldrick Tont Woods. And he was born on December 30, 1975, in Cypress, California.
He was the only child of an African-American Army officer father and a Thai mother.
When Woods was a child, his father began calling him “Tiger” in honor of a fellow soldier and friend who had the same moniker.
As a young boy, Woods learned to play golf. His father, Earl, served as his teacher and mentor.
By the age of eight, Woods had become extremely proficient at the game, even showing off his skills on television shows such as Good Morning America.
Tiger Wood’s education
Woods studied at Stanford University, and won a number of amateur U.S. golf titles before turning professional in 1996.
He shot to fame after winning the U.S. Masters at Augusta in 1997 — with a record score of 270 — at the age of 21.
Woods was the youngest person to earn the title, and the first African-American to accomplish this feat.
In his first appearance at the British Open later that year, Woods tied the course record of 64.
The next few years brought even more successes, including four U.S. PGA titles, three U.S. Open wins, three Open Championship wins, and three U.S. Masters wins.
In 2003 among Woods’s five wins were the Buick Invitational and the Western Open.
The next year, Woods won only one official PGA Tour championship.
While he may have had some challenges on the course, his personal life was running smoothly.
Woods married his longtime girlfriend Elin Nordegren, who was Swedish model, in October of 2004.
Returning to dominate the sport, he won six championships in 2005 and was voted the PGA Tour Player of Year for the seventh time in nine years.

Tiger Wood’s Bad moment
While his life on the green seemed lackluster, his personal life was in an even more serious tailspin.
First, it was an accident that almost took his life.
Then came a globally celebrated sex scandal that lead to an endless can of worms and culminated in a broken marriage.
Next, one after the other, every brand that had endorsed the golf legend came to strip him of their association.
Then the expected happens, he slides deeply into drinking and drugs.
A habit that wouldn’t stay hidden after a DUI arrest and public embarrassment.
In all of these, professional performance was on the decline for 5 straight years since 2013 no thropy came his way.
Not to mention 4 spinal surgeries.
The TIGER had lost his fight and the big cat now had his neck deep in the WOODS.
Tiger Woods…From Zero To Hero
What would he do now?
Take his place among the “has beens”, get drowned in drug use until he makes the news yet again as another celebrity overdosed?
Nope!
The decision he took despite the pain, losses, loneliness, embarrassment and shame is the reason I bring you this motivation today.
He choose not to stay down.
Non of the calamities above had what it took to make him feel finished.
Tiger wood fought.
He fought with everything he had which began with a public apology, then therapy, then an everyday personal push with almost no one in his corner but he woke up every day staring at where he used to be with the aim to make his return.
The outcome? Today, Return? He did.
After 1,876 days, he showed that you can get right back to where you want to.
He reclaimed his title, beating 30 players including 18 of the top 20 world best ranked golf players.
At 42, with his 80th victory, he is the new king of the golf course with $4.6m to show for this one win.
He cried from a place of joy.
Real happy tears.
The kind that can be yours if you only believe that nothing deserves to hold you down.
